A Women’s Spiritual Conversation with God

Have you ever wondered what the conversation between the woman of Samaria and Jesus must have been like?  Or how long it may have lasted?

A Stranger Who Became Her Friend

From initially being a Stranger to the woman of Samaria, Jesus became her Friend. So, please ask yourself, what really happened there?

The Lord Coming into Your Life

As described In the Bible, Jesus, being weary from walking through our all too often-hypocritical world came to rest upon Jacob’s Well. Shortly thereafter a woman from Samaria came to draw water from that same Well. There, Jesus asked her to give Him a drink. When she questioned why He, belonging to a religious sect that ordinarily would have nothing to do with her, asked this of her, He offered her “Living Water.” – John 4:6-14.

So spiritually, what do you think He was actually Offering her?

Please Consider

Nothing on earth can live, grow or come into fruition without receiving water.

Likewise, nothing Good can live, grow or come into fruition within us without genuine spiritual knowledge applied to the Way we live our lives.

And just as physical water comes down from the clouds above to refresh life on earth, genuine spiritual knowledge comes down through the Clouds of Heaven to refresh our understanding about the Truth of Love.

“Jesus answered her and said unto her, If thou newest the Gift of God, and Who it is that saith unto thee, Give Me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of Him, and He would have Given thee Living Water.”

John 4:10

Jesus Offered the woman of Samaria genuine spiritual knowledge because it was woefully lacking in her life. He Offered her knowledge that is Pure and Clean, not diluted or mixed with false concepts derived from mankind’s own self-intelligence. In that manner He Offered the woman of Samaria what is internally Life Giving, capable of bringing the Goodness of His Love into fruition within her soul. He entrusted her with that knowledge because He knew she had great need to apply it to the Way she lived her life.

Don’t we all!

Then Jacob went on his journey, and came into the land of the people of the East.

“And he looked, and behold a Well in the field, and, lo, there were three flocks of sheep lying by it; for out of that Well they Watered the flocks and a great Stone was upon the Well’s mouth.

“And thither were all the flocks gathered: and they rolled the Stone from the Well’s mouth, and Watered the sheep, and put the Stone again upon the Well’s mouth in His Place.”

Genesis 29:1–3

Spiritually, the East describes where spiritual Reality begins to dawn within our lives.

That perception leads us to a Well of spiritual knowledge about the most important things of all.

“Flocks of sheep” spiritually represent the innocence required within our minds and hearts to find peace there.

“A Great Stone” spiritually represents the Lord, Who is Divine Truth Himself. Likewise, He is described in the Bible as a “Rock”, and as “the Rock of our Salvation” in 1 Samuel 2:2, 2 Samual 22:32, Psalms 18:1-2, 18:31, 31:3, 62:2 and 62:7, Matthew 16:18.

“The woman saith unto Him, Sir, Thou hast nothing to draw with, and the Well is deep: from whence then hast Thou that Living Water?”

John 4-11

By asking the Lord about how He was going to Give her “Living Water” the woman of Samaria became an example to all of us about our need to ask Him directly and sincerely, with an innocent mind and heart, about most important things of all. No need to have that spiritual knowledge filtered, mixed or muddied through any self-righteous, judgmental “religious authority” that seeks domination over us.

Rather, the fact that the Lord Offered her that genuine spiritual knowledge freely, underscores the Value He places upon a woman’s innocent and sincere quest to receive Divine Truth from Him, directly.

“The woman saith into Him, Sir, Give me this Water, that I thirst not, neither come thither to draw.”

John 4:15

A woman’s Value in seeking genuine spiritual knowledge directly from the Lord is irreplaceable. It is a Well springing up into Everlasting Life to her, and to all around her.

Is there a greater way for the Lord to be-Friend us all?

“Exalt Her, and She shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honor, when thou dost embrace Her.

“Hear, O My Son, and receive My Sayings; and the years of Thy Life shall be many.”

Proverbs 4:8–9
