A physical marriage on earth is an image and likeness to the union between the Lord and His Bride in Heaven. That Union joins True Thoughts together with Unselfish Affections within our souls. The “I do” of our wedding vows constitutes our promise to keep the fidelity of that Spiritual marriage Sacred in all we think, feel and do.
“What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.”

Marriage on Earth is a Spiritual Journey
As anyone who has been married on earth may attest, marriage is both an event and a journey. There are many steps and stages of joy and difficulties. Times of emotional closeness and of emotional distress. Times of need for honest, sincere and humble personal reflection. Times of need for dedicated self-sacrifice while overcoming pride and selfishness. And times of need for forgiveness, compassion and reconciliation. Yet, as both husband and wife persist in honoring their wedding vows, their inmost Joy and happiness will grow in the Light of Righteousness from a life well lived.
“Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring Me an offering: of every man that giveth willingly with his heart ye shall take of My Offering.”
Exodus 25:2
As husbands and wives keep the fidelity of their marriage vows Sacred, the Lord Guides them in the Way they must think, feel, and treat one another. And although challenges will certainly arise, every effort made to overcome them will act to refine them and transform them for the Better. Every honest, sincere, and humble effort to do so is an offering of Love to one another, to the Lord, and to those around them.
“The Voice of Joy, and the Voice of Gladness, the Voice of the Bridegroom, and the Voice of the Bride, the Voice of them that shall say, Praise the Lord of hosts: for the Lord is Good; for His Mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of Praise into the House of the Lord. For I will cause to return the captivity of the Land, as at the First, saith the Lord.”

Each faithful effort husbands and wives make on earth to honor the fidelity of their marriage vows frees them from what would otherwise keep them captive to self-serving thoughts and selfish desires. What gets left behind, and what springs forth from those efforts perpetuates the Goodness of the Lord’s Love within them, within their children, and within their children’s children for generations to come.
“Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they Spring forth I tell you of them.”
Isaiah 42:9
For these Reasons the fidelity of marriage is Holy to the Lord. Through the sincere, honest and humble efforts of their fidelity, He leads those who have kept their wedding vows Sacred on earth into a very special Place in Heaven.
“In My Father’s House are many mansions: If it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a Place for you.
“And if I go and prepare a Place for you, I will come again, and recieve you unto Myself, that where I am, there ye may be also.
“And whither I go, ye know, and the Way ye know.”

For these Reasons the fidelity of physical marriage is Holy to the Lord. Through it, He brings forth His Joy and Goodness for generations to come. Through it, He Prepares a very special Place in Heaven for those who keep their wedding vows Sacred on earth.
